Privacy notice
This notice explains how Dog Coats UK ("we", "us") uses personal data when you visit dogcoatsuk.com or buy from us. We are the controller of that data.
Contact: dogcoatsuk@outlook.com

| Order and refund records | Accounting and tax records we are required to keep | Legal obligation |
| Messages you send us | To reply and resolve your query | Legitimate interests (running customer service) |
| Email address for the newsletter | To send new products, fit tips and offers, only if you sign up and confirm | Consent |
| Basket contents, linked to a cookie | To remember your basket between visits | Strictly necessary for a service you asked for |

We do not collect your dog's name or measurements. The fit finder runs on the measurements you type in and does not store them.
Payments
Payments are processed by Mollie B.V. You enter your payment details on Mollie's pages; we never receive or store your card number. Mollie acts as a controller in its own right for payment and fraud-prevention processing. See Mollie's privacy statement.
Who we share data with
- Mollie to take payment.
- Our delivery carriers to deliver your parcel (name and address; phone or email for delivery updates where the service uses them).
- Suppliers who send certain items directly to you, where the product page says the item ships from our supplier (name and delivery address only).
- Cloudflare, which hosts the site, database and images, and our email provider. Both process data on our instructions.
We do not sell personal data. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the appropriate contractual safeguards.
How long we keep it
- Orders and invoices: 6 years after the end of the financial year, as tax law requires.
- Customer service messages: 2 years.
- Newsletter sign-ups: until you unsubscribe. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 30 days.
- Baskets: 30 days after last use.
- Form abuse records (IP address and time): 24 hours.
